According to WKYC.com, a Utah delegate was surrounded by Trump delegates when she came out of a women's restroom and threatened with death and told to leave the convention and the state.
After Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who spoke at Wednesday night's session, did not endorse Trump, he was greeted with a hail of boos orchestrated by the Trump campaign. Such is politics in the era of reality TV. However, when Cruz' wife, Heidi left the arena, she was menaced by hundreds of angry Trump delegates. Ken Cuccinelli had to help her get safely out of the "Q" with the aid of event security.
Democracy in action.
How can we restore political dialogue and work to find solutions in the new era of Trump-defined incivility? The answer is obvious. If our government leaders encourage a Mean Girls approach to civil discourse, progress will cease.
